Last Chance Radio Let the night roll into the morning call me out, the mute city warning, I could never find my place so I, I just hide, I cannot fight it, I'm uninvited and undecided  Please don't let the light in... And I'll always believe in the midnight drive-ins and I'll, I'll never leave the late night arcades and I'll always hang out at wood panel pool halls and I'll always tune in to the last chance radio,  The beer is cold, old records always play here board it up, why can't we always stay here,  Memories, they fade out but skulls still open  spilling out the ghost parade,  Discarnate drummer of poison summers Please just let it come here... And I'll always believe in the midnight drive-ins and I'll, I'll never leave the late night arcades and I'll always hang out at wood panel pool halls and I'll always tune in to the last chance radio...

Blasted On Cans: There was nowhere I could hide,  got lost so deep inside, oh, woah, oh, they said, "Hey, what's with you,  man?"  "You're always blasted on cans..." I tied my laces tight, Got ready for the night, oh, My world turned upside down,  I reached high into the ground,  There was only so much I'm allowed to see, yea,  And only so much I'm willing to believe, yea!  I kicked down my own door,  It splintered on the floor,  oh, woah, oh,  They said, "Hey, what's with you, man?"  "You're blasted out on cans,"  The night air cleared my head,  I watched t.v. in bed,  The world leaves me alone,   I wear a name tag when I'm home,  There was only so much I'm allowed to see, yea,  And only  so much I'm willing to believe,  yea.

Choke Cherry 02:09
Choke Cherry:  Choke cherry is a very sweet sight for sore eyes,  Looks good to me,  Pink lemonade with the fire brigade,   And I'm slow and I'm golden,  Too cold to see. Chevette stalled out in Charlevoix, He called out, "Cheap gasoline!"  Nobody knows why the speedometer rolls,  Let it roll, let it go, Let it roll to me. The FM station says there's 51 locations, so, We'll fill her up when we're out, The lonely tower,  500 watts of power, well then,  It's what all this was about.  Snowfalls,  VFW halls,  Announce that the car show's called off, The reverend holds a holy tractor pull,  A reunion,  communion, memorial bog. Leather skirt and a bullet-hole shirt,  She's got it, she clocks out from work,  Night school in the community pool,  Costume jewelry don't fool me,  I'm hip your scene.... The FM station says there's 51 locations, so, We'll fill her up when we're out, The lonely tower,  500 watts of power, well then,  It's what all this was about.  The billboard shows we’ve got a hundred miles  Or so to go We only stop when we can,  No cruise control,  We know it's lonely-going here, Out where the maps only end...
4.
Paycheck to Paycheck: I'm living paycheck to paycheck, to paycheck to paycheck, to paycheck to paycheck,  my money's running out,  I'm living paycheck to paycheck, to paycheck to paycheck,  to paycheck to paycheck,  my time is running out!  Electric bill: 300 dollars a month,  phone bill: 200 dollars a month, beer money: 400 dollars a month, weed money: 800 dollars a month,  cat food: fifty dollars a month,  Taco bell: 400 dollars a month,  Gas tank: 300 dollars a month,  Rent: my money's run out!  Surely there is something more,  Than the endless void of superstores the carousel with the missing ring,  indifferent hum devours everything....

Line 'Em Up 03:47
Line 'em Up:  I had this feeling that my luck's running out,  You know I felt their eyes fall on me   So cross the white line,  come and straighten me out,  I've got it, I wreck the afterparty.  A roomful of eels squirm under red heels, Electric, writhe and die in the storm,   Steel wool sweater gets tighter when it's wetter,  Let her keep that cold shoulder warm.  And when the last call's coming,  I hit the ground running,   I'm coming through,   You know what to do,... So keep the shots lined up,  Drinking 'til the deadline is due... Line 'em up,  Lay 'em down and line 'em up, yea, yea... Line 'em up,  Lay 'em down and line 'em up, yea, yea... And when everybody else has all gone,   I was the last one standing,  'til something went wrong... Line 'em up,  Lay 'em down and line 'em up, yea, yea... Line 'em up,!  The bloodrush surges, starts to brighen my eyes,  I feel it, felt a dark swirl of booze,  First I break the bottle,  then I break  the bad news, Brought money that I was ready to lose,  But all the new hit songs seem to go on too long,  I like it when the radio seethes,  She's got her lipgloss running down her chin,  going hard, expand, contract as she breathes....

Slickster 01:19
Slickster:   Signal flickers through the sky, Tune in and choose your side, The uniforms are pressed,  the counter's rolling... You've got your points all polished bright,  Opposition in your sites,  You're reeling off commands while never knowing... So what keeps my enemies tight?  My friends so divided? My brain up all night?  Perception.  Oh, what keeps my enemies tight?  My friends so divided? My brain up all night?  Perception.. oh.  Sell me this and hand me that,  Pile on what I can't have,  The message seeps into your every moment.... The barrage is the camouflage,  In sight on your fourth wall,  You bought it and you'll never even know it... So what keeps my enemies tight?  My friends so divided? My brain up all night?  Perception.  Oh, what keeps my enemies tight?  My friends so divided? My brain up all night?  Perception.. oh.

The Crown 03:45
The Crown:  All knives at my back,   They want to take me on down,   Because they want the glory, But we got the crown,   And I said yea, yea, yea, yea, Yea, yea, yea,  And I said yea, yea, yea, yea, Yea, yea, yea... Pulled up to the city,  Stuck my sword in the ground,   '86 El Dorado, yea I get around,  Yea, yea, yea,  And I said yea, yea, yea, yea, Yea, yea, yea... The twilight crumbles into diamond hearts,  The crowds rummage through the component parts,   I want to drive through the cosmos, But my car won't start, oh yea. Oh yea.  Sky, grey sky, wasted winter trees,  Pass the controller,  name my disease,  I want to take you all down,  Before the next deep freeze,  oh no, oh no, All knives at my back,   They want to take me on down,   Because they want the glory, But we got the crown,   And I said yea, yea, yea, yea, Yea, yea, yea,  And I said yea, yea, yea, yea, Yea, yea, yea... Pulled up to the city,  Drew my line on the ground,  '88 Toronado, yea I get around,  Yea, yea, yea,  And I said yea, yea, yea, yea, Yea, yea, yea... Ripped blue jeans and a lighter that sparks,  KISS belt buckle and a scratched vinyl heart, Sometimes I walk on water,  or I swim with sharks, oh yea, oh yea,  Thriller Theater Thursday afternoon,   Knocked down loaded, blitzed out in my room,  Don't wanna hear no shit about the next big doom, oh no, oh, no.  The space between atoms,  and the places I've been,  Seen it all before,   I wanna see it again,   One microverse down with my particle crown,   Beget and begin. All knives at my back,   They want to take me on down,   Because they want the glory, But we got the crown,   And I said yea, yea, yea, yea, Yea, yea, yea,  And I said yea, yea, yea, yea, Yea, yea, yea... Pulled up to the city,  Drew my line on the ground,  '88 Toronado, yea I get around,  Yea, yea, yea,  And I said yea, yea, yea, yea, Yea, yea, yea... The scientist pulls his parka tight,  Shields his eyes against the Arctic light,  Gravity waves in sector 88 tonight, alright.  Equation shifts under the pencil's lead,  The numbers add up but the magic's dead,  When the condition's blue then the code is red, I said, I said... The space between atoms,  and the places I've been,  Seen it all before,   I wanna do it again,   One microverse down with my particle crown,   Beget and begin.

Summer '88 04:07
Summer '88:  The spinner rack's empty and the arcade's closed down,  Y'know they tried to shut me out but I still stick around,  And now I'm ready, I'm ready for what's coming to me, we graduated high school, went straight to the bar,  carved our names in the seats and that's still where we are,  and time kept spinning,   spinning so endlessly,  what does it want from me? So keep the big light on, Summer '88,  Gotta keep the kegs rolling before it gets too late, keep having a good time,  Summer '89,  I saw the fireflies die on the horizon line,  and everything that they said would come true,  Never happened to me but did it happen to you? Oh, don't turn the light off, Summer '88,  Before our night lights fade, We're gonna stay up late... And every so often some old song will come on,  And try to convince me that those days are long gone,  But if I close my eyes sometimes I still think I see, Those moved on and those still here,  Gathered round the living room still hoisting their beers,  So get ready,  Ready for a real good time,  Or is it in my mind?  So keep the big light on, Summer '88,  Gotta keep the kegs rolling before it gets too late, keep having a good time,  Summer '89,  I saw the fireflies die on the horizon line,  and everything that they said would come true,  Never happened to me but did it happen to you? Oh, don't turn the light off, Summer '88,  Before our night lights fade, We're gonna stay up late...

Konstantinov 01:01
Konstantinov: Knives carve a scar in the ice,  Dissolve into bright flashing lights,   Glasses were topped  But the party has stopped,  Like a wheel spinning off in the night.  Something's wrong,  First one down,   Something's wrong,   First one down,  Something's missing,  No one's out there,   Something's wrong,   First one down.  Felt a chill in the late summer air,  A feeling that something's not there,   The rules have all changed  And so late in the game,   And all of us were left unaware.... Something's wrong,  First one down,   Something's wrong,   First one down,  Something's missing,  No one's out there,   Something's wrong,   First one down.

Half-Priced Hammer: There's nothing good about me, I kill your lawn with my stare, I throw my trash on the street each Sunday. There are no poems in my pen, there are no checks in my mail, You're gonna stumble upon me one day, Doomed to haunting backalleys... I have no use for your world, I call out sick everyday, I get drunk everynight, feeling okay... Zoom out this scene, you'll see what I mean, what we do doesn't matter any way, So let whatever be, Maybe the great things will come so easy, So sick of the feeling, of never dealing, with the fear that's always here. Hang numb 'til the weekend, Quick dive off the deep end, Let it roll another year, and every night, and everyday, I burn my last bridge check out the wreckage, oh, oh and every night, and everyday, you weren't expecting, my great big wrecking ball.... Everyday comes too soon, I wanna sleep in past noon, I wanna wake up and howl at the moon... Sirens and lights, broken bottles and fights, Take in every chemical in sight, I hope this fever never leaves.... And when it burns to the ground,  you won't find me around, Half-Priced Hammer took down your ghost town, And on the day that I die, I'll find no comfort in sky, Never found a story I could buy.. Born again on Halloween, I Was never heard and I was never seen... So sick of the feeling, of never dealing, with the fear that's always here. Hang numb 'til the weekend, Quick dive off the deep end, Let it roll another year, and every night, and everyday, I burn my last bridge check out the wreckage, oh, oh and every night, and everyday, you weren't expecting, my great big wrecking ball.... Well, I've set aside some money for tonight,  Let's see what it can buy, You'd better lock your doors,  Here come the Nexus Whores, Broke my fist against the sky,  And when the account runs out,  I don't mind, And you can roll the sidewalks up,  I don't mind,  and you can shut down the late night scene, lock me in quarantine,   bust out the guillotine,   to me that's fine, fine,  fine.  I don't mind.
12.
Tattered Chucks: Well my edge is all frayed and my nerves they all jangle I can't find a way out, I try a different angle, and all these wasted years well they really add up, I drink not to feel, I pour another cup... And I never gave a fuck I walked away in tattered Chucks, Out of smoke, out of luck, spent my last five bucks...x2 Well, my friends are all gone, and the band has clocked out, I throw myself at the floor, see if the bottom falls out, well, I get no reaction, and I get no pity, Zero Pilot shot down, over Rocket City... And I never gave a fuck I walked away in tattered Chucks, Out of smoke, out of luck, spent my last five bucks...x2 And if I bring the heat, will you bring a bag of ice, Switchblades and Swap meets, wouldn't that be nice? And I walk another mile, in my pair of tattered chucks, check me out, I'm ghost girl, and I never once gave a fuck!
13.
Tomb City Screed: Don't ask questions just point and shoot.          Fuck the poor and divvy up the loot, Make apologies for the stomping boot... Convenient morals and readymade blame, which mangy dog gets the poison name? Well count me out if it's all the same. So I'll topple monuments to gilded greed, your good ol' days that I don't need, shout it out, Tomb City Screed! Cabalistic carvings, an exhumed warhead,  Who picks up all that slack?  When all our devils are dead? And tangled in my laces is a fuse half-lit, and with my microdose whiplash I deal with it,  oh, the peach napalm and the cherry bomb,  the difference is the division that we carry on, the glamour rank in the mirrored tank,  the matching outfits, haircuts, the spotlight's on.. midnight/searchlight...
14.
Exit Rhymes 02:57
Exit Rhymes:  I'm paralyzed by pointless options,   Take them away. The queues all cleared, confetti burning,   And we're tuning in.  Carve my country into conquerable bits,  In these lofty ranks the boldest cowards win. So many upturned palms, Just a target for the bombs, Side of the dial will determine who's let in.  Who's looking out for empty wallets?  How far they fall? Who cares at all?  How blind's the eye that caught us looking?  Is there mercy in these wheels in motion? Drop the needle on the Martyrs greatest hits,  Off with his head,  there's no way we can dance to this, The people's choice,  a staccato robot voice,  Saying , "Party 'til the payday loans begin ."  No use in staring down the watch that's been unwound,  It's all how you adapt  to the evolving traps they lay down,  I like to spend my nights just hanging with my friends,  We were so pleased and howling breathing life into dead ends.  Who are these people in the crowd Are they like me? It seems impossible to see eye to eye, you'd think, With so many paths to stumble down you have to ask,  How insurmountable to budge even one belief? Somebody stop me now,  I fear my gears are grinding down, The work week never ends  until you die right at your desk,  I'll wait for the big change,  No, you go first, I insist.... If it all goes well  I'll buy that life on my wishlist...
15.
These Short  Years: And when the bottles pile up, the TV's signing off into the poison sun, the ledges that we stand upon, And I hope that I am not around, when the clock goes winding down, I feel the creeping dread, On this planet of the living dead I stop. Please let something kill this feeling.  Stop. Kill this shit that I believe in. So let the oceans all rise up, Let them carry us away, Cos I’m sure that these short years, were all that I could take, I think I make the breakdown scene, oh, oh, I  think I take away the meaning... I'm shook, the cure it never took, so let's just close the book on this sorry page, your slogans and your phoned-in rage, So see you later, don't wait up, I think we've had enough of your cheap denials, we'll let the children play with the fire, so stop. Pretending that we ever cared, just stop. about a future that was never there... So let the oceans all rise up, Let them carry us away, Cos I’m sure that these short years, were all that I could take, I think I make the breakdown scene, oh, oh, I  think I take away the meaning... I found no prize in all this chaos,  I submit my blank report,   We passed the plate around the palace,  But we came up short, You couldn't be bothered, like I couldn't be bothered,  We looked at one another, and said, "fuck off..."
